Group Therapy

Anxiety Group Therapy

The Anxiety group therapy consists of 10 x 90 minute sessions to be attended weekly. In part the group will be educational, with information on the facts of anxiety and how it effects us in various ways. This education is followed up with techniques on how to start to help your self and why the technique is employed. The group offers opportunities to share, discuss and ask questions.

The overall teaching and philosophy can help you obtain knowledge in order to start the process of helping your self. Learning from the group time can be experimented with outside of the session and brought to the next session as feedback and self evaluation. The work you do outside of the session will be vitally important in line with what happens within the group. Confidentiality and a group contract will be agreed within the first session i.e respecting the confidentiality of others.
