Lynn Somerfield is a qualified and experienced psychotherapist who trained at the Centre for Counselling & Psychotherapy Education (Maida Vale) in the Transpersonal and Integrative model of psychotherapy. Lynn is a member of staff at this training centre and also has her London practice there. The Centre has a clinic and is one of the largest counselling centres in Europe with 800 clients per week coming through the doors.

Lynn Somerfield is a qualified and experienced psychotherapist who trained at the Centre for Counselling & Psychotherapy Education (Maida Vale) in the Transpersonal and Integrative model of psychotherapy. Lynn is a member of staff at this training centre and also has her London practice there. The Centre has a clinic and is one of the largest counselling centres in Europe with 800 clients per week coming through the doors.
She obtained her Diploma in Transpersonal Psychotherapy and Counselling in 1998, followed by an MA in Psychotherapy and Counselling (with distinction) from De Montfort University. Lynn also holds Diplomas in Supervision and Advanced Psychotherapy and a Certificate in Stress Management.
She recently obtained a Certificate in EMDR and is taking Part II (Advanced EMDR) in April 2010 when she will apply for EMDR accreditation. She is currently working with EMDR and obtaining regular supervision for her work as part of her ongoing training.
As an Integrative Psychotherapist, Lynn works well with a wide variety of models and methods, preferring to tailor the work for the client. Examples of some of these models are CBT, Transactional Analysis, Gestalt Therapy, Jungian symbolism and dream work.
Lynn runs regular and well attended courses on CBT for Dummies and Integrating CBT based on Arnold Lazarus’ model of multi modal psychotherapy. She is a popular and accomplished presenter and workshop leader.
Other current workshops include - Addictions, Creative Therapy and Integrating Gestalt.
Lynn works in London Monday - Wednesday and is available in Bedfordshire on Thursdays and Fridays.
