I am a qualified hypnotherapist, counsellor and psychotherapist covering Stansted, Bishop's Stortford and surrounding area. My approach is warm, caring and non-judgemental. Through a wide range of approaches I help my clients to understand the present, explore and resolve the past and make positive changes for the future.
I run a busy practice from my premises in Birchanger. I also hold sessions at the Harlow Leisurezone in Harlow, Essex. In addition, I regularly work within local businesses, offering hypnotherapy to employees. I also give talks and presentations on the benefits of hypnotherapy to business and networking groups.
Training, Qualifications & Experience
I hold a Diploma in Hypnotherapy & Counselling Skills (Dip Hyp CS) and an Integrated Advanced Professional Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy (Ad.Dip CP), both of which are accredited by The Royal College of Nursing.
I am in continuous personal development and have enhanced my therapeutic knowledge in Pain Management, Short Term Anxiety, Generalised Anxiety Disorder and IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome).
I am a member of the Hypnotherapy Society and the Counselling Society and work within the Code of Ethics and professional standards of these bodies. I am in regular supervision and hold professional civil liability insurance.

From January 2013 I am offering a separate programme for IBS sufferers (5-6 sessions).Fees
The initial consultation is free of charge and can take up to 1.5 hours This gives my clients the opportunity to meet me, ask questions, and decide whether they wish to proceed with treatment. Subsequent sessions are charged at £40 per session, with the exception of smoking cessation which is charged at a separate rate (please contact me for further details). Normal sessions take around an hour. I accept payment by cash or cheque.

Appointments are available at my premises in Birchanger (inbetween Stansted Mountfichet and Bishop's Stortford) during the normal working day, Tuesday to Friday. I also work evenings up to 9.00 pm and some Saturday mornings.
Appointments are also available on Monday evenings at Harlow Leisurezone from 5pm - 9pm, where I have a comfortable therapy room located in the Mike Varney Physiotherapy Suite.
There is ample free parking at both premises.
