She qualified as a clinical psychologist at the University of East London and subsequently completed an Open University post-qualification doctorate in 2001 at Solomons Centre, South London. Dr Kevis has worked with adults and older adolescents at Guys and Oxleas National Health Service Trusts over a seventeen year period. She has worked in private practice since 1995 and has experience in insurance medicine. Since 2000, Dr Kevis has combined private work with additional work for a charitable organization.
Dr Kevis has particular expertise in providing a range of therapies to problems such as post traumatic stress disorder, chronic pain, life adjustment problems, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, work related stress and spiritual issues.
An initial appointment will provide the formulation of the psychological problem and a discussion centered on how the therapy could proceed. Advice concerning the number of sessions required will then be discussed. In addition, Dr. Kevis is able to provide a thorough psychometric assessment seeking to further understand issues of intellect, neuropsychological difficulties, personality type, or memory difficulties.
A referral from a medical practitioner often is the starting point, but self-referrals are also accepted.
