Further Details - Over my ten years with clients, I have had a variety of professional experiences ranging from working with Mental Health (Brent MIND), or Substance Misuse (Rugby House) to offering counselling in primary care (doctors’ surgeries in Feltham). My work involved engaging with clients on a one-to-one basis as well as being a group therapy facilitator for some London-based organisations.
Over the past few years, I have developed my own private practice. In addition to this and the work with Employment Assistance Programmes (workplace counselling) I have carried out, I have also provided supervision to other counsellors, both individually and in groups.
To uphold the standards of competence set by the professional body I am a member of, I receive regular supervision myself and as a part of my ongoing professional development, each year I attend a number of work-related course seminars and conferences.
I can work with a variety of issues, related to psychological or emotional well-being, including stress, depression, dependency/addiction, workplace stress and bereavement. I also work with both couples and individuals who have concerns about their relationships.
I have experience working with clients on both a short-term basis and in offering longer-term therapy. Finally, I also offer counselling to Italian speaking clients.

Further Details
I have been practising psychotherapy since I commenced my training at the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy (CCPE) in Maida Vale, London, in 2002, and am an accredited member of the UKCP and the NMC. In this time I have worked with adults and young people. I practise transpersonal/humanistic psychotherapy, and my focus is always firmly centred on the individual at the heart of the process. I work along the lines of promoting growth, independence and self-determination, and enable clients to reach more firmly and deeply into the heart of who they are, and to live their life with consciousness and integrity. I have a particular interest in the dynamics of human interactions. I am passionately committed to enabling self-examination and reflection in order to help others to develop further as human beings. My greatest strength lies in the breadth and depth of my knowledge in the fields of psychotherapy, philosophy, theology, poetry and literature, for these have aimed to answer questions of life which fundamentally concern each and every one of us. I utilise my knowledge and skill in this area to inform and enhance my practice.
Within the NHS I have run therapy groups for children and young people, and have worked on an individual basis with this client group too. I currently offer psychotherapy sessions to clients with severe and enduring mental health needs, such as diagnoses of schizophrenia and bi-polar disorder. I also work with more generalised anxiety and depression, relationship issues, issues of trauma and post-traumatic stress, post-natal depression, parenting issues, eating disorders, employment issues, issues of identity, existential issues, and any aspect of living that my clients are seeking to address. I work with adults, adolescents and children, as well as couples and families, using an eclectic approach of transpersonal skills together with psychodynamic, systemic and behavioural techniques as required.
I am also a guest lecturer at the University of Hertfordshire, training MSc students on the IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) course. I also work as a Supervisor/Mentor to colleagues and students.
