Powerful feelings of sadness, worthlessness, self hatred, emptiness, disconnection, and inadequacy can impact on our very sense of being alive, in our relationships and our work. These deep seated feelings may create destructive patterns of behaviours which may result in conflicts, anger outbursts, drug and alcohol problems and ultimately separations and divorce.
My aim is help people to gain a greater understanding of why they feel the way they do, and as a consequence manage there lives differently. I work with both adults and couples.

Further Details
My name is Andrea Pelling and I am an experienced, qualified integrative counsellor and psychotherapist. My professional qualifications are an advanced diploma and a Masters degree. I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP Accredited) and I am registered with the United Kingdom of Counsellors and Psychotherapists.
I offer therapeutic counselling and psychotherapy to adults, adolescents and children. I work with individuals on a one-to-one basis and I offer group work where appropriate. I offer both short and long term counselling in the Beckenham and Bromley area.. I also offer clinical supervision to individuals and groups.
Work with Adults
I provide a safe, confidential environment to explore the issues you may be struggling with. These issues may be affecting the way you feel about yourself and your relationships and be creating feelings of anxiety or depression. I offer a non judgemental, supportive environment which facilitates the development of self awareness, supports the exploration of possible solutions to problems and helps challenge negative patterns of thinking and behaviour.
Work with Children
Children find it difficult to express their feelings and emotions verbally as this is not the most natural form of communication for them. Children continually seek to make sense of their world through play and creative work. In my work with children I support them to process difficult issues, feelings and emotions through the therapeutic use of play and creative work, which takes place in a safe and boundaried relationship. I have worked therapeutically with children for several years and also managed a project within a school setting which offered therapeutic support to children and parents.
