Initial training is psychodynamic; I now work with a range of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Brief Solution Focussed approach.
I am an independent counsellor with over thirteen years of experience. I have experience in training counsellors and in supervising Trainee Counsellors and established Therapists.
I am accredited to BACP and The Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling.
I work with all kinds of psychological issues, including clinical depression, trauma, loss, relationships, anxiety, stress and self-esteem.
I work with Adults over 18 years, Trainees and supervisees.

After working as a social worker for many years, my first counselling training was in the Humanistic field and person-centered values are at the core of my work. However, since then I have had more training, for instance, in the Jungian tradition, as well as 2 years of an MA in Integrative Arts Psychotherapy. I believe it is important to continue learning new skills and ways of working so as to be as responsive to my clients' needs as I can be. I am an absolute believer in the relationship that I can develop with my clients being the most important indicator of a successful outcome.
Previous work experience includes working in the field of sexual abuse for Barnardos, working in a Hospice and working in the NHS as a primary care supervisior for 6 years. I have been in private practice since 2003.
I work with young people, individuals and couples as well as supervisees.
