Barbara is an experienced relationship counsellor working with individuals and couples in heterosexual or same sex relationships. Many people have problems in their relationships at some time or another. Often these problems can be resolved without outside help, but sometimes it is difficult to see the wood for the trees. Relationship counselling offers an opportunity to talk things through and gain a better understanding of what lies behind the difficulties. The help of a relationship counsellor can be useful in repairing a relationship, but also helps couples separate on better terms if the relationship is at an end. Barbara offers counselling for couples or individuals, as counselling can still be useful in providing help and support even if only one partner wants to be involved.
Barbara also specialises in trauma support, working with individuals and groups who have been involved in life threatening or otherwise traumatic or disturbing events.
Barbara began her career as a relationship counsellor but now has a wide- ranging practice working with depression, anxiety, stress, low self-esteem. bereavement and workplace issues.
