    I am an experienced Analytical Psychotherapist of 18 years. I have extensive experience working within a Mental Health Centre and in Private Practice, with people suffering a wide range of emotional difficulties ranging from, Bio-polar, Schizophrenia, Clinical Depression, Eroticised Asphyxiation, Anger management, Body Dysmorphia, Addictive personalities including drugs and alcohol, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Phobias, Identity problems, Anxiety and panic attacks, PTSD, Eating disorders, Low self esteem, Sexuality, work related issues.
    
    Powerful feelings of sadness, worthlessness, self hatred, emptiness, disconnection, and inadequacy can impact on our very sense of being alive, in our relationships and our work. These deep seated feelings may create destructive patterns of behaviours which may result in conflicts, anger outbursts, drug and alcohol problems and ultimately separations and divorce.
    
    My aim is help people to gain a greater understanding of why they feel the way they do, and as a consequence manage there lives differently. I work with both adults and couples.

    Carolyn is a BACP accredited counsellor and UKRCP Registered. She has an Intermediate Certificate in Group Work. Carolyn has been trained in the Person Centred, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis and Psychosynthesis modalities. She also uses tools and techniques from CBT and NLP. Over the years, she has attended many courses and workshops in other models of counselling such as CBT and NLP and can provide a wide range of creative therapeutic tools that can enhance her work with clients/supervisees.

    After qualifying 10 years ago, Carolyn has built up a successful and confidential private practice from her home where she can provide counselling as well as supervision for practitioners.
    
    Carolyn is an experienced therapist and can help you if you are struggling with any of the following problems: Abuse, addictions, anxiety, anger management, assertiveness, bereavement, confidence, low mood, panic attacks, trauma, weight issues, self-esteem, self-harm and relationship issues. In a safe and confidential setting, she can enable her clients to make positive changes to improve their lives and achieve goals. She can provide practitioners with effective and creative Supervision.
    
    Carolyn worked for a number of years in a residential rehabilitation centre where she provided an intense 12 Step therapy programme of recovery for alcoholics and drug addicts.
    
    Carolyn works with individuals, couples and groups for short or long term therapy. She warmly invites you to contact her with any questions you may have, especially if you have not had counselling before.

    I am an experienced, qualified, integrative counsellor and psychotherapist and in addition to private practice I work within a variety of settings including a hospital and a GP surgery (with adults) and a school and youth offending team (with adolescents). This means I have had experience working with people struggling with a broad range of emotional, anxiety/stress/anger based, and self-esteem related difficulties.

    My aim is to use the therapeutic relationship within a safe and confidential setting to explore these difficulties to gain a greater understanding that can lead to improved self-awareness, managing your life differently and reducing the overwhelming feelings that may be associated with those difficulties.

    I work in the Orpington, Bromley and Beckenham area in both short and longer term counselling and am available to see clients on Saturday mornings
