I am an integrative counsellor and utilise the Psychodynamic, Humanistic and CBT approaches, as appropriate, with my clients.
I have 8 years of counselling experience during which time I have had a successful private practice for 7 years and have worked for 6 years at a local college of further and higher education, counselling both students and staff with age ranges from 16 to 70 years. I also have experience of working at a GP surgery and a local charitable organisation. I will complete my training as a Counselling Supervisor in March 2010.
The issues that I deal with vary, but include: bereavement, sexual abuse, self-harm, anxiety, stress, panic attacks, anger, low self-esteem and relationship problems.
I am a member of the UKRCP and an Accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and am bound by their Ethical Framework for Good Practice.
