I am an integrative counsellor and utilise the Psychodynamic, Humanistic and CBT approaches, as appropriate, with my clients.
I have 8 years of counselling experience during which time I have had a successful private practice for 7 years and have worked for 6 years at a local college of further and higher education, counselling both students and staff with age ranges from 16 to 70 years. I also have experience of working at a GP surgery and a local charitable organisation. I am also a Counselling Supervisor.
The issues that I deal with vary, but include: bereavement, sexual abuse, self-harm, anxiety, stress, panic attacks, anger, low self-esteem and relationship problems.
I am a member of the UKRCP and an Accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and am bound by their Ethical Framework for Good Practice.

I am an experienced psychotherapist and counsellor. My approach is integrative being drawn from humanistic, psychodynamic and existential schools of thought. This equips me to explore the obstacles to people being able to work, love and play.
I trained as a psychotherapist for three and a half years at a NHS Drop-in-Centre and for two years at Mind. I also, have experience of working with substance abuse, having done such work for the Addictions Psychology Services of the South London & Maudsley NHS Trust.
In my work so far, I have seen a broad range of people whose problems cover : abuse, addiction, anger, anxiety, depression, bereavement, personality disorders, relationship issues, stress and trauma.
I work with adolescents, adults, couples and supervisees.
I am a registered provider of counselling/psychotherapy services with major private healthcare insurance companies in the UK. If you hold such a policy, psychotherapy in the home counties will be happy to discuss this with you further.

Lynda is an experienced counsellor/psychotherapist working with individuals, couples, young people and students. She is a Humanistic Counsellor with Person-Centred ethics at the heart of her work. Also trained in Transactional Analysis and other Humanistic models, as well as CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Lynda firmly believes that each client is a unique individual and she will work with them in whatever way she feels is best for them at the time, within what is the most important aspect, the therapeutic relationship. She is also qualified as a registered Adoption Counsellor.
Lynda has wide experience in counselling and in the education and training sector. She works with clients in short term therapy as well as long term therapy and
has worked as a Counsellor for the Primary Care Trust in doctors' surgeries and as a Student Counsellor for a university. Lynda has a successful private practice in Tonbridge and Sidcup, Kent, works for the NHS Staff Support Service and as a Student Counsellor in a grammar school. She has run workshops on Eating Disorders and Self-Harm.
Lynda has experience of working with a wide range of issues some of which include: anxiety and panic attacks, personal and work related stress, depression, self-esteem, anger management, addictions, relationship difficulties and personal development as well as a range of others.
Lynda has a special interest in working with Eating Disorders, Self-harm, Anxieties and OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder).
