John S. Roylance is an accredited counsellor/psychotherapist with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy [Number 522793]. He is bound by its Code of Ethics and Practice and Complaints Procedure. He is a retired primary school headmaster, with forty years experience of working with children and adults. From 1990 to 2003 he worked predominantly with the Occupational Health Department of the Kent County Constabulary as well as with private clients, either self-referred or from local GPs. From 2001 he has worked for the occupational health department of a local hospital. From 2006 he has worked part-time for the NHS with the Eastern and Coastal Kent Community Services as part of the Children and Adolescents’ Counselling Team [CHATS] based in Dover. He is also a member of the Canterbury Diocesan Counselling Group. He is married with a grown-up family and grandchildren, lives in Tenterden and works in a purpose built therapy room at his home.
