Sarah offers a confidential, non-judgmental, supportive and respectful environment that enables the opportunity for clients to talk about, explore and resolve their problems and concerns. Sarah is a Humanistic Counsellor using Person-Centred, Gestalt and CBT approaches, as well as specialising in EMDR for trauma.
Sarah has 23 years experience of social and therapeutic work with adults, children and families. She has worked as a counsellor for eight years. She has a wide range of experience in adult and child mental health services, drug and adult services and general private client work.
Sarah specialism in EMDR for trauma includes big 'T' traumas such as accidents, assaults and abuse, as well as small 't' traumas such as bullying, bereavement and relationship issues. EMDR can also be effective for treating phobias, OCD and addictions. Sarah works successfully with individuals (adults, adolescents and children), couples and families, for long and short term work and with issues such as:
