    Trevor is a Consultant Cognitive-Behavioural Psychotherapist, with 18 years experience. He has an excellent reputation in the field of CBT, and enjoys a high success rate with patients/clients. He has worked as an independent practitioner within Special Services, Mental Health and has since been in private practice for 11 years.
    
    He is an Accredited Practitioner of CBT with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies [BABCP], and is a Senior Accredited Practitioner with the Association for Rational Emotive-Behaviour Therapy [AREBT]. He is a member of the Association for Coaching.
    
    Whilst he has a high level of expertise in treating Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder [PTSD] and Trauma [he has worked with emergency services as a result of the London bombings and deals with PTSD on a daily basis], he also has particular expertise in treating a whole range of emotional problems including: Depression, Anxiety, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Phobias, Relationship problems, Workplace difficulties and Stress, Gender issues, Health Anxiety, Bereavement, Low self-esteem, lack of confidence, Christian and Spiritual dilemmas and Panic Attacks.

    Edward is integratively trained and able to draw on his experience in Person-Centred, Gestalt, Self Psychology, Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Play/Art Therapy techniques to offering both long or short term counselling sessions, depending on a clients needs.As an integrative counsellor he works holistically with each client, by integrating different theories into his work to produce a unique therapy adapted to suit the individual.
    
    Edward has experience of working with both adults and young people. He runs a private practice in Cavendish, near Sudbury, Suffolk close to the local towns of Bury St Edmunds, Braintree, Halstead, Haverhill & Newmarket. Edward is also an experienced school counsellor who works in secondary education throughout Suffolk and Essex.

    By combining talking therapy and solution focused therapy such as CBT it can help to resolve personal issues and/or unhelpful patterns of behaviour or thinking. Some people like to express themselves in creative ways, so I also use art materials,imagery and basic play therapy techniques. Play therapy using figures, natural materials and sand can be introduced to help people to express themselves. This is particularly helpful for younger clients or for those who find talking difficult.
