I am Jo, an accredited and experienced integrative counsellor and psychotherapist in Epsom, Surrey. I hope to help you identify the specific issues that are troubling you and move you to explore techniques for resolving them in a confidential and safe environment. I work with individuals, including young people and couples either on a short-term or long-term basis. I have a degree in counselling and also have studied CBT techniques to help work with a variety of problems.
I have experience in working successfully with clients who may have difficulty in:
• Close relationships or social situations
• Breaking habits or creating new ones
• Getting rid of unwanted thoughts and fears
• Promoting clear self expression
• Dealing with feelings of isolation

I incorporate aspects and 'tools' from a range of therapeutic models to offer an integrative approach. Every client is different and I have found it helpful to adopt a flexible approach based on discovering with the client what he or she finds most helpful as we work together. Whatever the person's circumstances, I take into account the 'whole person' as I believe strongly in the holistic idea of health - that our bodies, minds, emotions and spirits are inter-related and inter-dependant. By working together it enables you to gain control of your life and realise your full potential. It can help you feel happier and less stressed and you will benefit from the renewed health that comes with a healthy mind.
My private practice is in Epsom, Surrey. My previous experience includes working for a local counselling partnership seeing GP referred clients, including assessments and at a bereavement agency. I have tutored on a counselling certificate course at a local college of further and higher education.
I also offer supervision to practising therapists.
